Lent begins this Wednesday, February 17th! 

  • The sanctuary will be open for quiet prayer and reflection on Ash Wednesday, February 17th from 10:30am until 6pm. There will be ashes for self-sprinkling or to take home for our evening service. 

At 7:00pm on Ash Wednesday we will enter into Lent together with a time of communal prayer and reflection using our regular Sunday Zoom link.

Absalom Jones

Come celebrate Absalom Jones, the first Black Priest ordained in The Episcopal Church. We will gather with communities around our region in a celebration sponsored by the PNW UBE, and led by Revd Ernestein Flemister in Grants Pass. February 21, 3pm via Zoom (click for link) or dial by your location

Telling our Stories

We would like to hear stories about the life of St. Philip, its members, and the way we have been a vital presence in the life of our community for over 100 years. Anna Ziegler is helping organize a history project that includes Hope Keller, who will help digitize our photo collection, Paula Webb and Faye Powell, who will help consolidate what we already have, and Cheryl Braginsky, a trained journalist and storyteller. 

Our hope is to create an ongoing exhibit, both physical and digital, of the stories and community engagement that has made this parish what it is!

Cheryl will be reaching out to you to ask for your time and memories. Please, tell us your story!

The Story Group will group will meet on Feb 20th to develop a plan to gather and record (in many forms of media) the stories of our beloved community. Join them via zoom on Sat Feb 20 at 3pm. All are welcome. Use Zoom link or dial in:
