Clothes Closet
Fall is coming and we’re building up the clothes closet in anticipation of cooler weather. All clean clothes in good repair are welcome, but we always have a particular need for shoes and new socks for adults. We currently open the closet for guests during the Saturday Deacon’s Table, but you can drop your donations off any time. Contact Vivian Childs if you have questions. vschilds@msn.com
St. Philip at Salt & Light Lutheran September 11th
On Sunday, September 11th, all members of St. Philip are invited to attend the 11am service at Salt & Light Lutheran Church where Rev’d Maria will preach and preside. Over the years of our involvement with the Leaven Land & Housing Coalition, we have developed a strong relationship with many members of Salt & Light. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry is coming to St. Philip and Trinity Cathedral
On Saturday, September 10th at 5pm, St. Philip with host the Presiding Bishop Michael Curry and Oregon Episcopalians of color for Evening Prayer and conversation. All persons-of-color in the diocese are invited to attend. The event is intended to center the voices and questions of people of color. We invite our white allies in attendance to listen.
